Taco Salad Supreme Recipe
Ingredients:
1-1/2 lb of beef; ground
French dressing (bottled)
1/4 C of Onion; sliced
1/2 Tsp of Salt
1/2 Tsp of oregano; crushed & dried
1/4 Tsp of Pepper
8 oz can of mini corn; drrained
1/2 head of iceberg lettuce; shredded finely
2 pcs tomatoes; sliced into wedges
4 oz of cheese (Cheddar); shredded
8 oz Can beans (garbanzo); drained
1/2 C of Radish; sliced
1 pkg of tortilla/corn chips (6.5 oz)
1 pc Avocado; skinned & sliced
Black pitted olives; cut into thin slices
Sour cream
Directions:
Saute the ground beef in vegetable oil ’til brown (but not burnt). Season with a dash of salt and pepper. Once cooked, drain excess oil. Pour some French dressing (approximately 1/3 cup); and then add oregano. Let the mixture simmer for about 3-5 minutes.
Meanwhile, mix the shredded lettuce, sliced corn, radish, tomatoes in a large bowl. Drizzle with some dressing to dampen; and then toss gently.
Distribute evenly among separate salad platters beginning with a bed of tortilla chips topped with ground beef. This is to be followed by the lettuce, avocadoes, shredded Cheddar, sliced olives, as well as sour cream.
