Ruby Layered Salad Recipe

Ingredients:

1 pkg of raspberry gelatin (3 oz)
1 box of frozen raspberries (10 oz)
1 pkg of cherry gelatin (3 oz)
1 pint of sour cream
1 can of whole cranberry sauce (16 oz)
1 can of pineapple (8 oz); strained & crushed
2 c of boiling water

Directions:

Dissolve the raspberry-flavored gelatin in a cup of water (hot) in a small mixing bowl. Pitch the raspberry fruits into the bowl; and then stir thoroughly.

Transfer this mixture into a clear, medium-sized salad bowl. Chill ’til nearly firm. This takes about 20-40 minutes. Once nearly firm, apply a layer of sour cream onto the gelatin. Chill it again.

Meanwhile, dissolve the cherry-flavored gelatin as you did with the raspberry-flavored one. This time, add in the cranberry sauce and pineapple.

Refrigerate ’til it nearly sets. Carefully transfer the cherry and pineapple gelatin onto the layer of sour cream. Prior to serving, chill again ’til the gelatin sets completely.
