Bacon, Lettuce and Tomato Salad Recipe
Ingredients:
1 lb of bacon
1/4 cup of milk
3/4 cup of mayonnaise
1 tsp of garlic (powder)
Salt and black pepper (ground)
1 Romaine lettuce; washed, drained & cut into thin strips
2 pieces of large plum tomatoes; chopped
2 cups of croutons; seasoned
Directions:
Preheat the oil over medium-high heat using a hollow skillet. Once the oil is hot, cook the bacon until it turns light brown and crunchy.
Remove from the heat and drain excess oil on a plate with paper towel. Crumble the bacon, then set it aside.
To prepare the salad dressing – combine the mayonnaise, pepper, powdered garlic & milk using a blender.
Continue processing until mixture is smooth. Add a dash of salt to taste. If you do not have a blender, just mix the said ingredients in a bowl and whisk ’til smooth.
Place the romaine lettuce and plum tomatoes on a clear serving platter, and then toss well with the salad dressing. Garnish with croutons and sprinkle with crushed bacon prior to serving.
